What our employees say

Find out first-hand what drives our employees - machine setter Alphan provides exciting insights into everyday working life at ETIMEX:

Tell us something about yourself: Who are you and how long have you been working at ETIMEX?

My name is Alphan Kiran and I have been working as a machine setter at ETIMEX since December 2009. I make sure that the machines in production are running and carry out repairs if necessary. I work in three shifts.

What do you do first when you start work in the morning?

In my job, I can always prepare for the work that awaits me the next day. This means that at the weekend, for example, we already prepare for Monday. Because we already know roughly which machines will be working. And then we set up the machines - for retooling or maintenance.

What skills are particularly important in your job?

In any case, technical knowledge is particularly important. You should be familiar with various tools. A trained eye and experience pay off in this area.

Apart from that, you can learn anything if you want to. I was previously an industrial mechanic myself and only got into the plastics industry here at ETIMEX. You can familiarise yourself with the different machines, so it's easy to find your feet.

How would you rate ETIMEX as an employer?

I think my work here is great and I'm very happy with the company. I've always had very good experiences with my colleagues and was welcomed with a friendly welcome right from the start.

If you had to describe ETIMEX as an employer in three words, what would they be?

You get noticed here at ETIMEX. That's not so easy to describe in one word. I know few companies where it's like that, but here I see people at work and they simply enjoy their job. And if people enjoy their work, then the company is doing well too. That's how I feel. It's good here, at least I can say that about myself. I think it's the Humanitythat is top.

It's also fun to talk to the people here. They listen, everyone gets involved and helps out. That gives a good Team spirit on site.

And my feeling is that our company is very open for the employees. For example, it is taken seriously if you say that something is missing or out of place. Not always immediately, but I can be sure that someone will look into it.
