We always use plastic according to the principle "As much as necessary, as little as possible". We achieve this by minimisation of the film thicknesses we use, weight reduction and, where possible, by reusability and waste-free production.

With full recyclability, our mono-barrier films with optimum hygiene conditions reliably ensure a high level of product safety and thus enable an extended best-before date. In this way, we can make an active contribution to reducing food waste with recyclable plastic packaging - because throwing away food is up to 30% more harmful to the climate than the plastic packaging itself.

The switch to sustainable packaging solutions is a trend that is also becoming apparent in the pharmaceutical and food supplement sectors. Standard blister packs are increasingly being replaced by a fully recyclable PP mono solution. As conventional blister packs cannot be recycled due to the use of plastic thermoforming film made of PVC/PVDC in combination with a cover film made of aluminium, they are not a product for the future. We at ETIMEX have been convinced of this for over 30 years and therefore offer new, recyclable solutions.

We rely on suppliers who fulfil the guidelines of the ISCC PLUS standard and have undergone audits. The focus here is on the provision of technical solutions for the reduction in energy consumption as well as the use of renewable energies. ETIMEX also carefully examines all resources as well as material flows and flows of goods for sustainability and optimisation opportunities. One example of this is the circular economy, which extends into logistics with circular returnable packaging.
